‘My works are testimonies of strength. They are the result of expeditions, adventures and direct encounters.’

The artworks are created from practical experience, not theoretical concepts. They are direct, authentic, clear and confusing at the same time. They bear traces of rain, wind and sand. Of animals, people and technology – but above all attitude, emotion and depth.
Here you will find works that carry space. Works that enliven and stand for something – large-format. Minimalist. Powerful.

I am not a studio artist; my home is not the vernissage. My art starts outside: in the dust of the wilderness, the mist of the rainforest, the smoke of a shooting range. I am a seeker who goes where strength returns his gaze.

As K’rK, the exploring artist, I search worldwide for motifs that carry strength within them. My minimalist art technically straddles the interface between photography, digital abstraction and classical painting. It is conceptually highly charged, and behind every work there is a true, powerful story.

I come from a place of weakness and I seek strength. First physically through sport, then through skills and my profession – now emotionally through art.

My art is the result of a long journey: from survival to creation, from defensiveness to openness, from the profane to the profound, and ultimately from the big wide world to a simple canvas.

‘Sometimes you see something and you just know: this is yours. No reason. No thought. Just a feeling. That’s exactly why I paint.’

The artworks are unique pieces for spaces and people with character. They tell a story and create a calming, energising presence. Not just to please – but to empower.

In addition to its depth of content, my art has a clear aesthetic appeal. The works are meant to please and inspire. By combining the stimulating and aesthetic effects of the artworks, living spaces can become significantly more interesting, valuable and thus ‘stronger’ themselves.

‘Art must be experienced to have an impact!’
